Butt Augmentation

Description

In this video, Dr. Ramon Robles discusses two butt augmentation options: the Brazilian butt lift and buttock implants. People with a moderate amount of fat in other areas of their bodies and minimal skin laxity are often suitable candidates for a Brazilian butt lift. Those with no fat to harvest are usually better suited for buttock implants.

A buttock augmentation is enhancement of the buttock. Two options to enhance the buttock is with fat, and that's called a buttock fat grafting procedure or a Brazilian butt lift. So I take the fat usually from the abdomen, the waist, the back, the bra roll. We're usually sculpting those areas. And then we transfer the fat that we, you know, harvest into the buttock area to give volume so the patients get projection and also to give width or hips. The other way is with buttock implants. And buttock implants is relatively similar to breast implants. And you place them in the buttock area. Usually I place mine in the subfascial pocket. Buttock fat grafting, depending on how much a patients wants, how much fat they want and how much you need to harvest, it's about a three or four-hour procedure. And then the butt implant is about the same if you're going to do it meticulous and you're going to preserve the fascia. For the Brazilian butt lift or buttock fat grating, the good candidate is a patient that has a moderate amount of fat in the tummy, the waist, the back, the bra roll, with very minimal skin looseness, skin laxity, and then they lack, you know, buttock volume, either projection or hips. And in those patients, when you do a liposuction, their skin is going to retract very nicely. You're going to get a good amount of fat. Then you transfer that to the buttock area to enhance them. Those are the perfect candidates for a Brazilian butt lift or a buttock fat grafting procedure. The patients that have no fat, or you can't harvest any fat, and they have no buttock projection, their only option is an implant. And so those patients that are very lean but not much buttock volume are the ones that are good candidates for butt implants.
